TDH-2^TM  (delayed hydration additive)

Trican’s delayed hydration additive effectively puts cement “to sleep” for a specified period of time, extending its thickening time. This permits the addition of accelerators to lightweight and standard blends, which can travel past the shoe (the hottest part of the well) at high temperatures, so that they can rapidly gain compressive strength at low temperatures.
